Vekh Baraathan Challiyan is the story of Jaggi, a bus conductor and Sarla, a student who belong to two different communities. Whilst Jaggi is a Jatt Sikh from Punjab, Sarla is a Hindu Jaat from Haryana, however, despite the cultural difference, the two fall in love and decide to get married. But, Sarla's father who is a strong believer in astrology lays down the condition that the two can marry only if their horoscopes match.
This is where problem arises, the astrologer discovers that Jaggi is a Manglik and informs Sarla's father that if the two marry, his daughter will either die or suffer from health issues throughout her life and the only way to save their marriage is Jaggi marrying a bitch first. Jaggi agrees for the marriage and a series of comedic events ensues.
