2/6/1932Veena Das, revolutionary freedom fighter, shot Stenly Jackson, Governor of Calcutta at the convocation ceremony of B.A. degree, but Jackson was afraid and bend down, thus the aim was missed.
1/2/1994Warden's in Arambaug, India lead about a fifty hungry and bruised elephants into a forest for temporary shelter. After a week, the herd strayed from a santuary, stampeding villagers and terrorising peasants.
