11/17/1932	The Third Round Table Conference began in London. It was not attended by the Congress as the real Indian participation in the making of the constitution was negligible. Since Gandhi was in prison because of his civil disobedience movement he could not attend it either. This conference ended on 24th November 1932 without achieving anything.

He was against dowry and child marriages and advocated widow re-marriage and also established institutions for vocational education and education for adults.
6/24/1946	Congress party rejects British plan for provisional govt. pending constitution in New Delhi.
1/21/1996	Lakshmi Parvati elected president of Telugu Desam NTR faction.
1/21/1996	Allau'd-din Hasan Gangu alias Jafar Khan. The Muslim kingdom of Bahmani dynasty in the south as Sultan Allau'd-din Khalji. He renamed Gulbarga, his capital as 'Hasanabad'.
2/28/1998	The third and final phase of polling is held in 131 Lok Sabha constituencies in 10 States and one Union Territory.
1/12/1948	Gandhiji decides to fast for communal peace in Delhi for communal riots which broke between Hindus and Muslims at Calcutta. Mountbatten fails to dissuade Gandhiji.
